Visiting for the first time?

What time should I arrive?

Worship begins on Sundays at 9.45am. Bring your favorite mug from home and enjoy a cup of Pneuma coffee before service!

Where are you located and where can I park?

We worship at 245 W. McMillan St., across from the historic Hughes High School in Clifton Heights. You’re welcome to park in the Hughes parking garage (entrance on Clifton Ave.) There are two accessible parking spaces in front of our building on W. McMillan St.

What’s your service like?

Our worship service follows a similar rhythm from week to week and generally includes a time of singing, prayer, sermon, and communion.

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely! We provide childcare and faith formation for children on the lower-level of the building. Children aged 3–12 are invited into our Montessori-based environment where they experience God and learn about Jesus in developmentally-appropriate ways. And rest assured, all of our children's workers are background checked. If you prefer to keep your children with you in the service, we have some quiet activities available for use in the back of the sanctuary.

What about teens?

We invite teens to join their parents (or friends) for worship in the sanctuary, then stay for small-group at 11.30am. This small-group time is guided by adult leaders and is designed to help teens grow in their relationship with Christ. Outside our time together on Sunday mornings, teens are invited to participate in a monthly youth group on Sunday evenings—first Sunday of the month, 6.00–8.00pm.

What should I wear?

Most people dress rather casually. We invite you to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.

How can I receive prayer?

Members of our prayer team hang out near the back of the room during and after service. We invite you to reach out for prayer throughout the week too. Use the form on the connect page and a member of our prayer team will follow-up with you promptly.

What do you believe?

UCC is a place where everyone is welcome at the table. Whether you’re new to church, been around your whole life, or just dipping your toe back in, we invite you to join us on the adventure of exploring who God is and what it means to follow Jesus.

UCC does not have a formal statement of faith or an exhaustive list of theological positions. For us, it’s enough to say we believe in Jesus as Savior and the Bible as God’s word. We have some core practices which express the posture we seek to embody as a covenantal Christian community of faith. It’s our hope that as we step into these practices, together in community, that we grow in our ability to love one another across divides and through the tensions we encounter when faced with perspectives that differ from our own. In short, we believe that everyone has a place and purpose in God’s Kingdom.
